The Ministry of the Table- Mother's Day Recognition
Welcome to Monticello Baptist Church online! We’re grateful you’re worshiping with us today as we celebrate Mother’s Day.
This Sunday, Pastor David Artessa will share a message titled “The Ministry of the Table” from Luke 14:12–24. Throughout the Gospels, we see that Jesus spent much of His ministry around tables—teaching truth, extending grace, and inviting people into the kingdom of God. And in this passage, Jesus reveals that what happens around a table often reflects what is happening in our hearts.
Some of the most meaningful moments in life happen in ordinary places—like a table—where people are noticed, relationships are formed, and grace is extended. This message will challenge us to consider how God can use our homes, our lives, and even our everyday moments to reflect the heart of Christ.
As we recognize and honor mothers today, we also give thanks for the countless ways they have faithfully lived out this kind of ministry—through attentiveness, care, hospitality, and love that often goes unseen but makes an eternal impact.
Wherever you find yourself this morning—whether celebrating or carrying a mixture of emotions—we’re glad you’re here, and we pray this service encourages your heart.
