Living Your Purpose

Sep 20, 2026

Welcome to Monticello Baptist Church online! We’re grateful you’re worshiping with us today for a special Sunday as we celebrate believer’s baptism and hear a message from God’s Word.

This morning, we have the joy of celebrating with Claire Goolsby as she follows the Lord in believer’s baptism. Baptism is a beautiful picture of the new life we have through Jesus Christ, and we rejoice with Claire as she publicly professes her faith in Him.

Later in our service, Peyton Proctor will share a special message from Jeremiah 18 and the picture of being clay in the Potter’s hand. At the potter’s house, Jeremiah watched as the potter worked and reshaped the clay in his hands. Through that simple picture, God reminded His people that He is the Potter and we are the clay.

As we worship together, may our prayer be that of surrender: Lord, shape us, mold us, and make us into what You desire us to be. Like clay in the hands of the potter, may we trust the One who is at work in our lives and willingly yield ourselves to His hands.
