The Funeral Service of Jerry Lee “Turkey” Holland
Jerry Lee “Turkey” Holland, age 71, passed away Friday, September 26, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center in Macon.
Turkey Holland was born in Red Bay, Alabama to the late Arvin Lester Holland and Lillie Bell Greenway Holland. His family moved to Jasper County when he was a young child and was raised in Shady Dale. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Holland; sister, Elizabeth Williamson; nephew, Greg Holland; and father-in-law, Charles Bramlett.
Turkey Holland enjoyed playing golf, watching Georgia Tech football games, playing softball and fishing. He was a member of Providence Baptist Church and attended the Monticello Baptist Church. Turkey loved life and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Rená Bramlett Holland of Monticello; sons, Jacob “Jake” Lee Holland of Monticello and Charles Brian (Jennifer Amanda) Holland of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Ashton Thompson, Avery Holland, Aeson Holland, Riley Holland and Cason Key; brothers and sister, Jimmy (Pam) Holland of Monticello, William Holland of Shady Dale and Margie (Bobby “Moe”) Moore of Shady Dale; a number of nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Linda Bramlett of Monticello and brother-in-law, Bob (Christina) Bramlett of Monticello.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Monticello Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, October 2, 2025, after the visitation, at the Monticello Baptist Church. Rev. David Artessa will officiate.
