Welcome To Our Sunday Morning Livestream

David Artessa

Welcome to Monticello Baptist Church online! We’re grateful you’re worshiping with us today as we continue our series, TRUTH: Living with a Biblical Worldview.

Over the past several weeks, we have explored some of the foundational questions of life. We have examined the trustworthiness of Scripture, God's design in creation, the reality of sin, the condition of the human heart, the redemption found in Jesus Christ, and the hope of restoration that awaits God's people.

This Sunday, we begin focusing on an important practical question: How do we live in light of what is true?

Pastor David Artessa will be preaching a message titled “Truth: Who Decides?” from John 8:31–32 and 17:17. In a culture that often tells us to define truth for ourselves, Jesus offers a very different perspective. He teaches that truth is not determined by personal preference, public opinion, or cultural trends. Truth is revealed by God and found in His Word.

Jesus also reminds us that God's truth is not something to fear or resist. It is the pathway to freedom. As we abide in Christ and submit to His Word, we discover that His truth does not enslave us—it sets us free.

In addition, we will celebrate and highlight our recent Vacation Bible School, giving thanks for the many volunteers who served and the children who heard the good news of Jesus throughout the week.

As we gather through worship, prayer, and the preaching of God's Word, our prayer is that this service will strengthen your confidence in God's truth and encourage you to follow Christ faithfully in a world filled with competing voices.
