Welcome
For over 200 years, Monticello Baptist Church has been a warm and welcoming congregation deeply rooted in faith and community. MBC is where individuals and families gather to worship, grow their relationship with God, and serve others. With a rich history of devotion and leadership, Monticello Baptist embraces the call to share the love of Christ, provide spiritual guidance, and foster a sense of belonging among all who enter its doors. Whether through worship services, outreach, or fellowship, the church remains a beacon of faith, love, and support in the Jasper County community.
We hope you'll Join us soon!
Sunday School @ 9:45am
Our Sunday School small groups are the glue that holds us together. It is in these groups that relationships are formed, discipleship happens, and loving care is shared. Our various groups would love to meet you and welcome you into their class.

Sunday Worship @ 11am
Our Sunday worship gathering is the highlight of the week. Loving fellowship is coupled with vibrant worship and a relevant message to create an atmosphere where God can significantly impact your life. We would love for you to join us on a Sunday morning.

Wednesday Night Activities
Our mid-week activities (from August to May) are designed for the whole family to enjoy. We begin at 5:45pm with Family Night Supper in the Fellowship Hall, which we hope makes coming to church on Wednesday easier for your busy schedule. At 6:30pm, there are Bible studies for every age group. At 7:30pm, our choir meets to rehearse for our Sunday Worship Service. Please make plans to join us on a Wednesday night.
Sundays At MBC
Is there childcare for children?
YES! We love children here at MBC, and we have an incredible team of volunteers in our Children's Ministry Hallway who would love to care for your child while you worship. Our nursery is designed for children ages Birth to 3 years old. We also have a Children's Sermon during our worship service for children ages 4 through 1st Grade. Afterward, they are dismissed to Children's Church downstairs with Nancy Mitchell, our Children's Ministry Director. Children ages 2nd Grade and up are encouraged to worship with their families. If you have more questions about what is offered, please get in touch with Nancy Mitchell at 706.468.6452.
What should I wear?
You will find anything from casual attire to dress suits and dresses. We are more interested in getting to know you than we are with what you have on. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable.
What is the Sunday Worship gathering like?
At MBC, we desire to "Shout with joy to the Lord... Worship the Lord with gladness... [and] Come before him, singing with joy." Why? "For the Lord is good...His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation" (Psalm 100, NLT). You can expect to find on Sunday mornings a loving smile and a kind welcome, a blended worship service with a mix of new and old, and a relevant message that applies to life. Ultimately, you can expect to find Jesus here.
Do you have a Sunday evening worship service?
Except for special events/times, we do not have a Sunday evening service.
